L’artiste béninoise était nommée dans la catégorie “Best World Music Album” aux cotés (notamment) de Burna Boy.

Angélique Kidjo a d’ailleurs rendu hommage à la star nigériane lors de son discours.

Ce prix récompense son album Celia qui rend hommage à la diva cubaine de la salsa Celia Cruz, disparue en 2003.
